Why This Recipe Is So Delicious
Cooking Hints
- Marinate the chicken in buffalo sauce for at least 30 minutes before grilling to enhance flavor.
- Grill over medium heat to avoid burning the sauce while ensuring the chicken cooks through.
Step 1
Cut each chicken breast in half and popping the pieces into a large zip-top bag. Use a meat mallet or rolling pin to gently pound them until they’re about half an inch thick. Pour in as much buffalo wing sauce as you like, seal the bag, and give it a good shake to coat all the chicken. Let it marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
Step 2
When you’re ready to cook, preheat your grill to medium heat—whether gas or charcoal works fine. Take the chicken out of the sauce (throw out the leftover sauce) and place the pieces on the grill. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, flipping once halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink inside. If you want, brush on some extra buffalo sauce while it grills. In the last minute, add a couple of cheese quarters on top so they melt nicely.
Step 3
While the chicken finishes up, put your slider buns cut-side down on the grill for a minute or two until they’re toasted and golden. Spread some dressing on the toasted sides, then pile on some celery sticks and the buffalo chicken before topping with the bun. Enjoy!
