Why This Dish Is Worth Trying
Pro Kitchen Tips
- Lightly spray the tenders with oil to achieve extra crispiness.
- Avoid overcrowding the basket to allow hot air to circulate properly.
Step 1
Spread the flour out on a large plate. Crack the eggs into a shallow bowl and give them a good whisk. In another shallow dish, mix together the bread crumbs with garlic powder, paprika, cayenne, black pepper, chili powder, and a pinch of salt.

Step 2
Take each veggie "chicken" strip and give it a good coat of flour, then dip it into the beaten eggs, and finally roll it around in the seasoned bread crumbs until it’s fully covered. Set the coated strips on a plate as you go.

Step 3
Preheat your air fryer to 500°F (260°C). Once it’s ready, arrange a single layer of the coated strips in the basket. Give them a light spray with cooking spray to help them crisp up.

Step 4
Cook the strips for about 6 minutes, then open the fryer and carefully flip them over with tongs. Keep cooking until they’re golden and crispy, which should take another 4 to 6 minutes. Enjoy!
