Why This Recipe Is So Enjoyable
Kitchen Advice
- Toss the broccoli in oil and seasoning before roasting to help everything stick and roast evenly.
- Roast at a high temperature to get crispy edges and tender stems without making the broccoli mushy.
Directions
Heat your oven to 475°F (245°C). In a small bowl, mix together some olive oil and minced garlic. Cut the broccoli into florets, leaving a couple of inches of the stem on each piece. Spread the broccoli out on a rimmed baking sheet, then drizzle the garlic oil over it. Give everything a good toss so the broccoli is evenly coated, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Roast in the oven for about 7 to 9 minutes, turning the broccoli halfway through, until it’s tender and has those nice charred edges. Once it’s done, transfer the broccoli to a serving dish and finish it off with a splash of balsamic vinegar.
