Kitchen Advice
- Avoid pressing down on the burgers while cooking to keep them juicy.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F for safety.
Directions
In a bowl, mix together the turkey, basil, garlic, salt, and pepper until everything is well combined. Divide the mixture into four equal parts and shape each one into a patty. Heat up your grill to medium-high and give the grate a light coating of oil so the burgers don’t stick. Grill the patties for about 4 minutes on each side. When you flip them the second time, add the provolone slices on top and let the cheese melt as they finish cooking. While the burgers are grilling, toss the ciabatta rolls on the grill for a couple of minutes until they’re nicely toasted. In a small bowl, stir together the mayonnaise and pesto until smooth, then spread this tasty sauce on the toasted rolls. Finally, assemble your burgers with the turkey patties, some sliced red onion, and lettuce, and enjoy!
