Why This Dish Is Worth Trying
Tips For Better Flavor
- Make sure to press the crust firmly into the pan to prevent crumbling.
- Allow the bars to cool completely before slicing to get clean edges.
Step 1
Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, combine 2 1/2 cups of sweetener, melted butter, and a splash of almond extract, then mix it all together. Press this mixture firmly into an ungreased 9x13-inch pan to form the crust. Pop it into the oven and bake for about 15 to 20 minutes. Once done, take it out and let it cool for around 10 minutes while keeping the oven on.
Step 2
Mix 1 1/2 cups of sweetener with the almond flour in a separate bowl. Whisk in the eggs and fresh lemon juice until everything is well combined. Pour this lemony filling over the cooled crust, spreading it out evenly. Bake the bars for another 20 minutes, then let them cool before cutting into 18 squares. Enjoy!
